Introduction Text Hi, I'm Linda and I am 62yrs old. I have high blood presure and the beginnings of diabetes. My top weight was 297 and I am now at 265. 32lbs down! I work on my new elliptical and take an aquasize class, low impact, for 3 hrs a week. 1 hr per class. I need to get physically fit enough to walk a mile in September. I want to walk with my sons and daughter-in-laws in the Race for the Cure for cancer. We will all wear t-shirts with my Mothers name on them. We will walk in memory of her. We lost her about 4 years ago to cancer after a long and very curageous fight. My youngest son challenged me to do this and he and his wife bought a treadmill for me at Christmas. I want to live to see my grandchildren and be able to play with them. UPDATE: Well I finished the race and did the mile walk, thanks to all of my friends here in Spark People. I am now trying to lose more weight for my son's wedding in June 09. It helps to have a goal to reach for. I hope to get back into water aerobics and maybe get a bike that I can ride. Of course when the weather gets better here I will get back into walking!! Onward and Upward or should I say Downward with the weight!! lol

To lose weight and get a healthier and more fit me.

I use an elliptical and also go to a water aerobics class and now I walk outside. Drink lots of WATER and eat a better balanced diet

I am 62 years old and I am married...38 years, to my wonderful hubby. I have 2 great sons. One is married and one engaged. I love to read, knit, crochet and play games on the computer. (POGO)

I love mysteries and love stories. If the book has both...perfect! My favorite movie is Gone With the Wind. Love that Clark Gable!! lol
