Hey Everybody! Thanks for visiting my page. I am a medical student who has struggled with my weight for the past several years. I managed to lose more than 60 pounds while volunteering overseas for 9 months, but have slowly gained most of it back during my stressful time in med school. Still, I count my blessings everyday and am so grateful to be where I am. I am thankful to be pursuing my passion to serve as a physician. One of the reasons I want to be a doctor is to encourage others and to show my patients my care for them and support. Unfortunately, I don't think I show myself the same love and forgiveness I offer to others. If I want to be a great doctor, I have to start by loving and taking care of myself. Only then an I expect to be able to serve others fully and completely. Dealing with weight issues during this stressful time in my life is not fun or easy, but I think it will make me a better person and a better doctor one day. I offer it all up to God and trust His will for my life! After all, "If God brings you to it, he'll bring you through it!"

In my spare time I love to run (I've completed 2 marathons and 2 half marathons), volunteer, participate in church activities and read or watch tv (Big Bang Theory, The Office, etc). I'm looking for a Spark Buddy to keep me accountable for eating healthy and exercising and staying motivated in this journey. If you're interested, please message me!

I am working on being and I finally decided to do something about it. My weight loss thus far has been slow-but all good things come with time and I really believe that I am sticking to this healthy eating and exercising plan for life. If that means it will take a little longer to lose all the weight I would like, that is okay with me.
