I have been away for awhile, and now am back. I can say, that although I have not set the world on fire, I have maintained my weight loss from before. I am now ready to lower we entry more, which means I need to step it up. I still need to lose around fifty pounds, but I am trying to take small, lasting steps. My sugar A1C, was 5.4. That is my biggest achievement. I look forward to hearing from you. I am still walking at least one mile a day. I accomplished the 5K, and can still do that. The heat is bothering me more than last summer, but my legs are stronger. Wish me luck.

I am walking daily.
I am playing more.

I am trying to gather friends who have done it, and ones who are new.

Hi. My name is Cathy. After living in Homestead, FL. for twenty seven years, we moved to Blue Ridge, GA.. I have lived here for twenty years. I have a son and daughter who are here, and one daughter in Augusta, Ga. My sister and her husband have moved to NC, and my bestie lives in Columbia, TN. I am very happy.

Other Information:
My first year of feeling overweight was senior year in high school. After my boyfriend's brother called my Fatty, thinking he was funny, I starved and lost the ten pounds I had gained. When I married I weighed 127 pounds. I weighed a69 when I gave birth to my first child. Of course I didn't lose that by giving birth so again starved. I gained and lost the same 35 pounds so many times and ways. When I had a hysterectomy at 35, my weight started going up. kept it under control, until the last five years because of medicines for fibromyalgia and arthritis, I gained to 250 lbs. I swore I would never go over the two hundred mark. I have lost nineteen pounds since joining Spark. I had already lost nine pounds when I started. I cherish friends. so if you need a Spark Buddy, please let me know

    I was thinking of you this morning! I finally ran the 5k I promised you back in November. I know that I walked 5k on Thanksgiving and even that was terrifying after just being put on high blood pressure meds. This time, I ran it. I was not to scared because I had been training, but then when I got there I realized there were a lot of small hills. It started really getting my heart going in a way I was not used to and I knew that I wasn't in real danger, but it was still very hard to tell myself that everything was going to be ok. Thank you for inspiring me to do it. It was a very rewarding experience and it is great to work through the fear.
