I am a woman, mom, wife, friend, sister, aunt, cousin, BFF, cheerleader, employee, co-worker.....all those things we all are to other people!! I want to be the best I can be at them, they are important to me. What I want to learn to do is put me first more often.

I'm fast approaching 40. I have 4 awesome children. My husband is one of those "great guys". He loves me for who I am now & who I will become tomorrow.

I am proud of my life. In one year I have lost nearly 40lbs. I've learned all about success and failure. Mostly how to navigate the tricky obstacles life keeps throwing in my path. I am becoming the Master of my own Destiny!!!!!

With all that said, I'm only half way to my goal. I still have a long way to go. That thought no longer scares me nor frustrates me. I realize I am making life long changes. It took me many, many years to get my body to where it was and I know what hard work still lies ahead to get this body it to where needs to be.

I begin each day with my mantra "Slow & Steady WINS the race" becuase in the end I want to cross that finish line with my head held high.

Big Thanks to Sparkpeople and the community of good people here. Without it, I would still be wondering exactly where to start on this journey.

Fitness Minutes: 55,105

My Goals:
Ultimately my goal is to loose a LOT of weight, become physically fit and to look great in a pair of jeans and a little white t-shirt!
To get there I know I have to find myself, which I hope to do bit by bit on my journey.

New goals for year 2 at Spark:

1st Goal: Re-visit the basics again. DAILY. I've become a bit lazy with this habit and let's face it, this one will make or break you.

2nd Goal: Run a the whole time...finish in 40 minutes.

3rd Goal: Find my waist! I know it's there some where....

4th Goal: Size 14. I've missed #14.

5th Goal: Loose 25 pounds by January 1, 2011

My Program:
Everyday I log my food and water intake & to stay within my calorie range.

I walk/hike a LOT! I find this is GREAT me time. Bring ont he hills baby!!

I want to become a runner so I'm runnung the C25K training program, yes again, because I never really gave it my all the first time through,

I'm focusing on strength training a body area each day. I love how lifting makes me feel STRONG! Seeing muscles is the BEST motivator.

I am a home-body to the core. I want to be home snuggled in a blanket reading a good book or watching a great movie. Just being with my family all the time.

It is way out of my comfort zone to get out there and do things physically.
