About time I updated this thing!

I lost 21 pounds. I am a size 8 again and I weigh 144 pounds. I was 165 pounds at my highest weight ever in my entire life. I was miserable, constantly fatigued, suffered headaches all the time, felt "fat" and bloated constantly and hated myself. I can say I feel a hell of a lot better about myself now. I can look in the mirror and truly believe it when I say "damn, bitch you look good." Because I do. I am not stick thin, I am not a body builder. I am Kim Version 2.0.

I think I gained all that weight because of stress. I went to eating a horrible diet when I got a desk job that kept me confined there for 8-10 hours a day. I stopped working out and was eating a typical (typical=crappy) American diet, including meat and dairy!!!!!! Cannot believe I was doing that. In March 2011 I decided that I was tired of being fat, so I started going back to the gym. That was a big step. But I wasn't losing weight because I was still eating whatever the hell I wanted. In February 2010, I eliminated the meat again (except for fish, but limited servings per week), and earlier this year I eliminated most dairy. I discovered that I am lactose intolerant. My husband kept telling me that I was, but I continued to deny my horrible gas was coming from eating yogurt and cheese sticks lol.

Another life-changing thing that happened to me was reading The China Study. Diet is the single most important factor impacting our health as Americans. Fitness Minutes: 1,770

My Goals:
Get back to the way I was back in 2008. A lot of good things (and not so good things) have happened to me and I 1000% lost sight of what it is to look good and feel good about myself at the same time. My job requires me to sit on my ass 8+ hours a day and I guess I didn't realize that eating the same as I did when I worked retail wasn't going to work! I am now focusing on reaching my healthy weight goal and KEEPING MYSELF THERE. NO MORE FLUCTUATION.

My Program:
1200-1300 cals a day, less sodium, less refined sugar, plenty of water, and gym 4 days a week 30 min cardio 20 min strength training alternating days focusing on upper body and core.

I am from Alabama, but I relocated to sunny central Florida in the summer of 2006. My husband and I live in Tampa with our wonderful chubby kitty Grace.
