Well, I've been into fitness since around age of 16 off and on. Mostly off, but I always had a membership to a gym. In 2004, when my son was 9 months old I lost my mom to obesity and all the complications that come all with being overweight. I knew I needed to lose some weight, but didn't think much of it until a year later when my dad told me he saw me going down the same road as mom. I got upset and denied it! Then I saw a picture of myself and my son at the lake. I was horrified. That was Labor Day Weekend 2005. The next week I was back at the gym twice a week and starting to eat healthy (well I thought I was eating healthy). November I started working out with a trainer. I loved and hated her. She worked me hard and put me a meal plan which I followed to a "T".

Fast forward to April 2006. I reached my goal (well my original goal) - lost over 30 pounds and over 30 inches!

Seeing my transformation sparked my interest in helping others get healthy and incorporate fitness into their lives. I started working part-time at my gym as a Personal Trainer in November 2006. In March 2007, I went full-time as my "desk job" was eliminated. Talk about living my dream! I was able to exercise during the day and help others out. I was happy except for the fact I never saw my new husband and our son. So this dream did not last long. In January of 2008, I was back behind a desk and enjoying those darn office treats!!!! Around April, my husband asked me what I thought about P90X because he had seen the infomercials. I already wanted to get it so I jumped right on the opportunity!

After a couple of months of trying at night which did not work out well at all I switched to mornings. And it worked as I once again fit into clothes I could not a few months prior.

Life has managed to take over and my workouts suffered - so here I am again a year later starting over again.

My Goals:
To get my body fat % at 20% or lower. OK, lower would be nice. :)

My Program:
Eating clean 5 - 7 times per day.
P90X workouts ~ love ya Tony & hate ya at the same time.
Share a personal trainer with husband. Yes, Drew kicks out butts every week.
Take a boxing class twice a week.
Improving my sleep. Goal is at least 6 hrs per night, but attempting for more.

I'm a mom to THE most wonderful 7 year old son ever. Work full-time and have a part time job.
