Reclaiming my body after two children has been quite a trial, however, I am determined to try and make this work. I have battled with weight all of my life, but I realize now that what I used to think of myself as "fat", I would actually love to be that size again.

After having two children, being 5'4" tall, I have been left to deal with what used to be my babies "home" for 9 months. I had a 10lb. little boy in July of 2006. People still ask me when I am due. If there is one goal that I have, it is that no one ever ask me that question again!

I don't want to take anything for granted in life. I believe I have been given a great opportunity by being introduced to SP! I am so grateful for having found it.

My biggest challenge is realizing that to take care of everyone else, I need to take care of myself! I have a tendency not to take time for myself. I have been doing better about that since I joined SP. I have been exercising regularly with my Tae Bo team! Thank you TB Team for being the rock in my motivation.

My next challenge is choosing the right foods. I am doing better, but it is still hard when I am on the go constantly. I need to get to a point where I pre-plan meals and shopping. Recently, I found out that I am insulin resistant and have metabolic syndrome (pre-diabetes). As you may think, this makes losing weight even harder. I struggle with some vitamin deficiencies as well, which may be linked to the IR/MS. Choosing the right foods and eating correctly for IR/MS isn't easy, and I'm still trying to get a handle on it. Learning everyday...KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

The other hurdle...did I mention that my husband and his family own an Italian restaurant...Yup, you heard me right. Talk about food challenge. It is difficult to make wise choices when I have to have meals there...which is often. I would say 3 times per week.

I am confident, however, that I CAN DO THIS! And, I will.

Eat Healthy 100% of the Time (still working on that one!)

Work Out 5x's per week and/or 1300 minutes per month. Workouts: Tae Bo, Jillian Michaels NMTZ, BFBM and Shred, Walking with Leslie Sansone and Cathe Freidrich's Step Workouts.

Burn btw. 2500-3000 calorie per week.

Log all of my food. Calculate my calorie deficit everyday.

Use my Heart Rate Monitor on each workout

5,000 IU of Vitamin D
Fish Oil (YUCK!)

I am a mom of two; a girl (6) and a boy (3). I love being a mom. There are my greatest joys. I have been married for 7.5 years to a wonderful man. We live in Michigan. I will turned 34 in May, and by 35 I want that to be the "year of my life." I am the Director of an organization that does Online Professional Development.
