Mom of 4, ages 11-20, I can't blame my weight gain on my children but I gained more & more weight with each kid & would lose some, then it would come back with a vengeance....so I decided in late July 2012, it was time for ME! Time to make a better ME! I joined weight watchers & just ate the points they told me to....weight miraculously started falling off...I got excited! So then I started walking 1 mile a day, then 2 miles a day, until the week of Thanksgiving when I did a trial week at my husband's gym...now I'm hooked! I had set-backs at first...I was building muscle & gained a few pounds back, but now I'm a loser again! I had a goal of losing my first 30 lbs from Aug 1- Christmas, well....I didn't make it, just shy...28.5 lbs! I'm still happy with my progress, but I still have a ways to go.....I'd like to be down another 35 lbs by Aug 1, 2013, even IF I can hit that weight, it's still 35 lbs from my pre-4 kids weight, but I would be happy at that weight, I know I'm eating good & would be fit. I Recently married my best friend & soul mate In October & now we are getting healthy together!
