I 'd like to blame it on our society,-- I'd like to blame it on my relatives-- those fun, food loving folks. --I'd like to blame it on preservatives,--artificial sweeteners--, fat free sugar- laden foods,-- all those diet books.
I'd like to-- but the truth is, the blame is mine.
My goal is to finally get to a healthy weight, and stay there forever.

My Goals:
I had a great weightloss last year but failed to maintain it. I am determined this time to get a handle on it before it all returns. I am also going to work hard on making sure what I am doing is creating a healthy lifestyle that will be so much a part of me I will not slip back into those bad habits of the past.

My Program:
My program is a work in process. I am taking baby steps so I will not get overwhelmed and just give up.
Shift in food choices
Working more movement into my days
Drink that water!!
I need to add in some new interests as well. I am looking into volunteer opportunities.

Personal Information:
I am a retired office worker, live in the great North West of our beautiful country. I love my home, yard and love to travel with my husband. I have taken up oil painting since I retired and I love to sew craft things in the winter months.
I love animals, but no longer can have a personal pet, so I am hoping to volunteer at the local pet shelter this coming year.

Other Information:
I read constantly, probably average a book a week. I am a big Dean Koontz fan, and love any kind of mystery.
I am very interested in reading about new scientific discoveries and I find quantum theories fascinating.
I have worked on computers since 1980 so I am way to addicted to the online world. I need to get out more in the real world.
