I am making small choices each day to add up to big changes. On January 1,2010 I began following the Spark book's step by step plan.

July 2010 Update: Spark has made the difference in my weight loss efforts! I have lost 29 pounds . I exercise 6 days a week and have added strength training to the cardio 3 times a week. I began with WATP and now do TurboJam almost exclusively. My energy levels,endurance and focus have all improved exponentially. Because I can keep going all day, the time I devote to early morning workouts is more than regained. I log everything I eat- the Nutrition Tracker is a powerful teaching tool! So many things are just not worth the calories- but some things definitely are.
I am down 2 full sizes and have enjoyed wearing cute, smaller clothes this summer.
The teams and support on Spark are incredible! I log in everyday and check out at least my friend feed. It always motivates me and helps me keep focused on my goals.
My plan is to continue with my workouts and eating plan, using all the resources here on Spark. I don't know where I will end up as far as the scale, but I know that I am healthy, fit and happy!

My Goals:
I need to lose 29 pounds that have crept up on me in mid-life.

September 2011
Found 15 of the 29 I lost..... I will not give up or give in! I have joined the 2011 5% Fall Challenge to kick start my return to sanity.

BTW, I am 6 ft tall- I get asked about that!

My Program:
I am following the plan in the Spark book. I am focusing on small choices to build success and a healthier lifesyle.

August 2013- I have been very lax in logging my food and in working out. It shows on the scale! Back to basics- Tracking food, working out 6 days a week and being accountable for it!

April 2011- Exercise 6 days a week, a minimum of 30 minutes. Most days I am doing 45 minutes to an hour.

Stay within my nutrition goals everyday, logging everything into my tracker.

Log onto Spark and at least view my Friend Feed every day.

Personal Information:
I am a home schooling mother of 4, happily married to my sweetheart for 31 years. We have graduated 3 from our school and I am finishing up the last one. I am a physical therapist. My relationship with Jesus Christ is central to my life.

Why I want to lose weight.
1. To fit back into all the cute clothes I bought last year.
2. For my outfits to just look good, instead of changing shirts, pants, etc, trying to look better(thinner).
3. Keep my knees and back from aching.
4. Avoid the diabetes that runs in my family.
5. Increase my energy and discipline- it spills over into other areas of my life.

    Lets go angels. We can do this. I am ready to move more tomorrow. Just got in 60 min of walking today around dr. office and around walmart waiting for medicine then didn't get it anyway. They said and hour then they said at least another hour so we went home. Getting it tomorrow.

    Thanks for today's message. I just love Denis Waitley. Have listened to his tapes over the years for inspiration so today, YOU inspired me!! Hope you are having a good time on this challenge. It's pretty fun. And I'm meeting lots of people on 2 teams I've belonged to, but not participated in much. I just love SP and am so thankful I found it!!
