I've never had edamame. If you find a good recipe you'll have to forward it to me.
I am halfway to my goal... My journey started 3 weeks prior to me joining sparkpeople. With sparkpeople I've lost 4 lbs... I wanted to include my most recent highest weight so that I can acknowledge and appreciate the work I've done and continue to do.
You've lost 16 lbs so far? that's pretty impressive. :)

Thank you for adding me! I was so happy to read the comment you left on my page and so relieved that you accepted what I wrote you as coming from a place of good intentions.

I'm sorry to hear that you've gotten hate mail. Ignore it. People mean well but often don't express themselves in a tactful, thoughtful manner. Eating disorders scare people and the concept of eating in a way that is in any way connected to "ana" starts the alarm bells going. Eating 350-450 calories is not good for you. Your bones, your muscles, your organs, will be impacted in a very negative way and, as I mentioned, your metabolism will come to a dead stop - quite the opposite of what you're trying to achieve. Exercise, portion control, healthy choices, consistency - those are the things that work because, gradually, they create a lifestyle that is sustainable and long-lasting.

A couple of thoughts if you are having trouble eating enough to hit the 1200 calorie mark. Choose calorie-dense foods that provide good nutrition while helping you to lose weight. Ensure is a delicious, fortified drink that helps in that regard. So are things like natural nut butters (peanut or almond) and healthy fats like olive oil and avocados. Fruits and vegetables, lean protein, whole grains. Make your choices count and track your food intake.

I'm delighted that you want to read what's on my page and I welcome you with open arms! The tips I share are proven and I'm blogging on each one in more detail. I believe in them because they worked for me to lose weight and more importantly, they are the key to helping me maintain now for five years.

Thanks again for adding me and best wishes!
