if only there was a group called dieters anonymous... i have been at this for years. probably as far back as i can remember. first the right way (w/o success)...then the wrong way (with success and then w/o). it all climaxed about five years ago when i finally realized that you cant abuse your body forever. i think i began the real journey at that point. first, i had to stop over-exercising, by not exercising at all. and then adding it back in gradually. check. then learning to eat non-diet foods (very scary). check. turns out i honestly like healthy foods better! now i am so much closer to living normally. i let myself do things over the past 5 years, i let myself enjoy things and work hard and really live-- even though i admittedly felt fat the enitre time (and still do). now everything is as settled as it may ever be. ive done a lot of growing up! im proud of who i am and what ive accomplished. i admit i still feel overweight for my size (under 5 feet tall) and though i think about it a lot, its in a constructive way, rather than a "hate myself" way. and now that ive reached this point, i want more...i want to be the best i can be and be even more proud of myself. i love to work out and i want to appear that way to others. i want my arms and shoulders to look toned when i wear a dress. i want to know what it feels like to walk without my thighs touching. i want to go shopping without feeling held back by my curves. i really enjoy myself as a person ...i just want to be my absolute best. its my biggest insecurity and i want to conquer the last thing holding me back from being me!
