******UPDATE (12/21/11)*******
I am 26 years old and have a 6 year old son and recently got married!! I have lost 50 pounds along my journey and want to lose another 15 to 20 pounds. I got married in October and just got back for our honeymoon. I put so much pressure on losing weight for the wedding, and then for the honeymoon that I didn't end up losing anymore!

Now, with everything off my plate and the pressure gone I feel recommitted and ready to get back on the bandwagon of working out and eating healthy. I feel like I can focus on my healthy lifestyle, food, exercise, and working on my mindset and am super excited for an amazing year in 2012. :-) I'm not putting as much stock in my weight, pant size, or measurements and more emphasis on how I feel, my fitness level and ability, and my mood/self esteem. I realized when we went on our honeymoon and I had the self confidence to wear a bikini EVERY DAY that it doesn't matter if I way 154 pounds or 130, it matters how I see myself at my weight and it matters if I give my body credit for the amazing things it is capable of doing! :-)


I am now a *runner* although I use the term loosely and believe I'm more of a bouncy power walker or perhaps a *jogger* (again, I use the term loosely). Before SP and C25K I would never run unless something seriously frightening was chasing me... now I'm finding I love running.

I am learning how to eat right... eat good, nutritional, balanced foods that fuel my body to do the amazing things and accomplish amazingly challenging tasks I never thought possible.

I am learning to love and respect my body for the things that it can do, and how to work with it in training to some day be able to do the things it cannot do now. My body is an amazing machine and it always will be as long as I treat it that way.

My Goals:

1. Run 3 or more 5ks
2. Finish a half marathon
3. Improve fitness level and abilities (amount of consecutive crunches, pushups, plank time, how fast a run a mile, weights I can lift, et cetera)
4. Get out of my comfort zone once a week, in fitness, in food, in the community, at work, whatev.
5. Try a new recipe once a week
6. Journal at least a little bit every day, record my journey... food, exercise, accomplishments, feelings, room for improvements... so I can look back on what I did right and what I was doing when I struggled.

My Program:
I am getting back on track. I am going to work on eating 1400 calories a day plus 1/2 of what I burn in exercise. I am going to eat more balanced meals instead of cramming junk into my calorie restriction. I am going to work out... because I like myself more when I do. I'm going to mix cardio with strength until I feel good and go from there. I'm putting less emphasis on my weight/pant size/ and measurements and more on how I feel, what I can do, and my self confidence.
