140/90. That was my blood pressure late March 2014. You know how you wait for the "click" to kick you into changing your habits? 140/90 was mine. I know that if I'm eating well, exercising and at a lower weight, then my pressure will be fine. So I let that be my click to choose again to nourish my body and to move it in ways that makes it say thank you.

I've Sparked enough since 2008 that I know what I need to lose weight in a happy way. Foodwise, that means eating lots of veggies and fruit, getting at least 30g fiber daily, drinking lots of water (especially because I exercise) and eating a pretty balanced mix of carbs, proteins, and fats per the Spark recommendations. Exercise includes distance running, Pilates and strength training. My blood pressure late April 2015 was 94/67.

My Program:
Eat mainly fresh fruits, vegetables, proteins & unrefined foods. Drink 10+ cups a day.
Running and Pilates are my exercise of choice.

    Glad you are back, although I am not sure when you came back because I have been absent as well. Glad to see you are still moving forward, I could use you as a great example.

    Hope you are ok and that your family was as well since you were gone for so long.

    Oh how I would love to move to the land of sunshine! Not only is my daughter, son in law and one of my grand daughters living there but my son and daughter in law just moved out there!!! (He got a job in Sunnyvale and she is likely going to be working in San Francisco.) They will all be relatively close so if I could only talk DH into a move........ Daughter and her family in Virginia would have to move too and then it would be perfect. (hmmmm she did say there was a position open at a University in Santa Clara that would be perfect for her....
    About turning 60 - the thought of being at the bottom of a race age group is so tempting. LOL It's certainly been a while and would take forever to get in shape for races but it is tempting. :-)
