Hi there. My name is Kacey and I live in the Pacific Northwest. I was blessed to be married to the love of my life for 19 years before he passed on the 27th of September, 2008. I am still in "recovery mode" from his loss but I am making progress. I am usually very easy to get to know and love to people watch. I am looking forward to seeing how I progress in all aspects of my life!

6-7-16 - It has been an amazing journey thus far! When I joined SparkPeople on August 1st, 2012, I had no idea that I could have achieved the goals that I have! It wasn't even in the realm of possibilities in my mindset at the time. To date, I have lost 209 lbs and have gone from incredibly tight 4X and 5X clothing sizes to a size 8-10-12 (depending on the manufacturer).

The best part so far is that I have met so many wonderful people here on SP. You are all so supportive, helpful, encouraging, and full of so many great ideas! I know I wouldn't be where I am without that "team spirit" behind me!

My Goals:
My goal is to lose as much weight as my body is willing to let go of so I can be around for my grandchildren, who are the joy of my life. My secondary goal is to be happy, healthy, and free with the new man in my life so we can enjoy each other's company until the end of time!


My Program:
I have to live a gluten-free, grain-free, legume-free life, so that is the crux of my plan. I have some mobility impairments, but I still weight lift, do CrossFit (with modifications), swim incessantly, and enjoy all manner of outdoor activities..



Personal Information:
Born in Connecticut, lived in New Jersey, Chicago, Southern California, Montana, and Western Washington (where I am now). I love what I do for a living (I teach students with learning issues and students who are homeless) and it provides me with great inspiration that feeds my soul. Recently entered a relationship with a man who loves me for who I am and spoils me rotten. I have introduced him to SP and he is now my exercise partner.


Other Information:
I believe God has kept me here on this plane so I can work with the students whose lives he has (for whatever reason) given me the power to reach and assist.
