The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure , the process is its own reward.

I have been at Sparkpeople since 2008. I have lost weight on and off all my adult life. I have learned (yet) to learn how to get it off and keep it off. I am learning though with the help of Sparkpeople. I have lost fifty four pounds this time, with another thirty pounds to go till I reach 130 which is my goal. When I reach that goal I will revisit my goals. It is all about being my healthiest at this point.

I am eating a heart healthy plan
exercise by walking daily
strength training 3x a week

Attaining lasting happiness requires that we enjoy the journey on our way toward a destination we deem valuable. Happiness is not about making it to the peak of the mountain nor is it about climbing aimlessly around the mountain; happiness is the experience of climbing toward the peak.



Other Information:
I am a writer..living a minimalist lifestyle with gratitude. I battle depression..I am caregiver to my husband who has dementia.. it has been the fight of my (our) life

I have learned that..

You can't go back and change an experience.
You can't make it 'unhappen.'

But you can change how you feel in this moment... about that experience.

You can change how you perceive that experience.
You can change what meaning you give that experience and what suffering or joy you create long after the experience has passed.
