About a year ago I lost my job (which I loved )that involved a lot of physical activities. I always ate what I wanted because it was easy to burn it off. My new job (which I also love) finds me behind a desk all day. This makes it alittle hard to burn off the calories. About a month ago, I found spark people when I was trying to change my eating habits and was looking for a calorie calulator. I googled it and clicked onto the website. I got way more than I was looking for. I really love this site because it helps me not only manage my calories but also my workouts. There is so much information avalible and I am telling everyone I know about the site.

My first goal is to get back into my work pants. Next I would like to lose 45 lbs. But then I will have to buy new pants. Ha Ha. 6-12-09 Just an update...Got into my jeans and they are actually alittle too big now. My next goal is to get to a size 8. This will be a real achievement since I haven't been that size since 9th grade. (I don't want to even think of how long ago that was.)lol

I am really following my nutrient intake in accordance with the program set up by the spark people web site. I try to consume the water since I know it is important to my weight lose. I have always been a water drinker but I struggle with consuming that much water. I am still trying to critique my workouts to fit my schedule and ability.

I am a grandmother of 4 beautiful grandchildren and a mother of 3 beautiful kids. I work as a manager for a newspaper in the circulation dept. I love my job and am very blessed to have so many good things and people in my life. I often don't act like or look like a grandma and often am mistakened for my children's siblings. This is also a blessing. (although I didn't think so when I was younger and people thought I was still a child).
