Hi. Thanks for stopping by. I'm not sure what led You here (although I'd like to!), but I'm here because...

I know from experience that everything else in my life goes better when I'm thoughtful about my food and exercise. So far, checking in here and tracking my progress has been a great tool for remembering that...so I can experience it more often! Wish me luck... ;)

My Goals:
For now, my goal is to do something every day for my health/body that I can feel good about, and keep track of it.

My Program:
I am trying to at least be aware of food labels when I'm making food choices and strive for moderation and balance. I've been cooking more, often using some great SparkRecipes. I am wandering my neighborhood parks, paths, and cul-de-sacs on foot and on my bike. My sweetie and I occasionally play racquetball or basketball at the gym near us, and I just joined one of the virtual 5Ks so that I have a "destination" when I hit the pavement, the treadmill, or the Wii Fit Free Run ;) I am also making a concerted effort to spend some of each interaction with family and friends intentionally discussing and or practicing thoughtful choices around food, exercise, etc.

    Probably sounds strange, but it's been very useful. Another thing like this happened the other day. I had the thought that this body I'm in is just "on loan", so I have a responsibility to think well of it, and to care for it well.

    Yeah that! :D You are looking for biblical passages that will help with your physical health goals. I was thinking it'd be an interesting way to use my momentum right now around physical health to help toward goals around reading the Bible. ;)

    I'm not sure about the other post you saw. For me, I'm looking for more diet application of Scripture. For instance, the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5 is self control. So I need to pray for the Spirit to give me more self control.
