What I love most about SP is the companionship of people who understand how challenging it is to live a healthy lifestyle, but who keep trying anyway!

We fall down… and we get back up
We fail… and we try again
We have a bad day… and we just start again tomorrow
And as long as we keep on going, and have more good days than bad days… we’ll get there!

I used to be far more self-critical. I used to be so hard on myself when I made a bad choice or a mistake. Well now I realise that I’m not Superwoman after all! I’m just an ordinary soul, going about her ordinary life, and that means facing all the ups and downs with calm patience and a determination to keep on going.

Personal Information:
In my 60s, married with grown-up children. I'm interested in crafts, especially knitting and sewing. I enjoy researching new recipes. I like reading too... historical novels, biographies and my most favourite - whodunnits!

I've been with SP since 2007. I love SP for all the information, the inspiration, the encouragement and the support that I've found here. Thank you to everyone who has ever posted a comment on my blog, or responded to one of my posts, or encouraged me in any way. Knowing that we are all working on this challenge together, and helping each other is what keeps me coming back!

    Thank you so much for your great comments on my blog. I think our generation was very lucky growing up, much luckier than today's younger generation, and my daughter reminds me that young people come in for a lot of rudeness, but some comments about old people are jaw-dropping. I listened to a group of fairly young academics on YouTube this morning, and one of them said there's no point in saving people who may only have a few years - yes years! - left. Hm! I would like to ask him in a few years if he still thinks that!

    Oh yes! I know about U3A. My parents' friends were members - don't know if they still are - but they're still well and on the Internet in their mid nineties! Howzat!
