Hi! Welcome to my page... my "home" for the past 7 years... my tool to track my progress and reaching my goals!

Fist I wanted to loose 10 lbs : Did it! Then I wanted to get healthier and reach new fitness goals: Done that! Spark was my tracking tool and Sparkfriends were my support !!!

Now: I have been diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease and co-infections (Summer of 2016). My health had declined substantially after completing the 2015 Boston marathon and I could not seem to get better. As a result, I am SLOWLY trying to recover. I celebrate small progress and I don't set big goals anymore (I want to keep it realistic). I am still tracking all my food (except when I am away or on "duty") and my fitness.

About me:
I am a certified yoga teacher (CYT 350)... I have fun finding and trying new recipes; I love to travel and discover new things. I am in the Army (officer) and I am committed to be a positive influence to the people around me - especially my 2 daughters - Emma and Maggie. I am a fan of essential oils.

My action PLAN...
Motivation: I am doing this for myself first... The reward is feeling good about myself nd a positive attitude. Tracking has helped me to stay focus and be accountable to myself.

Eating: this is not an issue! Really? The definition of healthy eating can vary depending on who you are talking to. For me, it is eating what my body needs to recover and saying NO to food I love (but are causing inflammation and an auto-immune response).

Stress: I keep a personal gratitude journal; when I feel down I look at it and I smile.

Sleep: Getting a good night of sleep is my challenge

10 years ago, I could not run 5km. A few changes later and committing to my goals with Spark, I fell much better, positive and proud of my successes. In 10 years, I don't want to have any regrets so I give my best everyday!
