I started eating healthy in May 2012. I have lost 48 lbs. I would like to lose 40 lbs. by April 2013. And I think I am going to really enjoy being a member of sparkpeople. (UPDATE) It is now april 2013 and I have reached my goal thank God. This is the best I have felt in years! I have lost weight and gained weight for so many years. My highest weight was 250 lbs. I had a lot of health problems because of my weight. My last two visits with my doctor have been great. My health is good now that I have lost the weight. My doctor said she was very proud of me and that made me feel so good. My weight for the past month have been between 132 and 133. I'm maintaining now and trying to keep my weight within a 5 lb range. Maintaining is not easy but I don't see myself going backwards but forward.
UPDATE: I'm back and now weigh 198. My mom had two strokes in the past two years and my sister's, my two daughters and I are taking care of her. I know I could do more to help myself but emotionally I have not had the will to do what needs to be done. But I know if I don't get myself together I will have health problems of my own. So I'm back with spark people hoping I can get back to where I need to be.
