I'm a legal secretary, former president of the Reagan Voice of Freedom Toastmasters Club, published author and a former home school Mom. My goal is to lose 24 more pounds so I'll look snazzy for those TV and Book Tour Media Appearances!

I can hardly believe I actually gained 70-80 lbs. since my surgery 4 years ago! Even more amazing is that I've lost 76 lbs. since April 13, 2009! This is so much fun, I'm going to keep going until I reach my goal weight.

Some days I only have 2 Meal Bars and a microwave low calorie dinner with several servings of raw fruits and veggies. That's about 1000 calories which is supposed to be too low. The meal bars have lots of vitamins and protein, and I take lots of extra Vitamin C, calcium, and Glucosamine also!

Occasionally I enjoy a meal out, and it takes a few extra days to lose another pound. I'm averaging about 10 pounds a month weight loss. Now that I'm starting to see real progress, I'm getting a little impatient with myself! But I've decided to enjoy each day as it comes and celebrate life!

After each 10 pound weight loss, I'll enjoy a little Chocolate Chip or Peppermint Stick Ice Cream, and then it's back to the program! No need to lose the momentum of all that Total Gym time or strength training lifting my 5 pound weights and all that power walking!

The best part is I've lost 46 lbs. since I met you wonderful Sparkers here on July 11, 2009. You have all really inspired me! My SparkPeople Friends are the very best!

UPDATE: I nearly got down to my goal weight and then gained 30 lbs. back. I'm in the process of losing that 30 lbs. again. One great thing is that I am completely drug free. I only consume natural vitamins, minerals, protein shakes and healthy food! I've found that Glucosamine repaired all my stiff joints, and I'm able to run and lift weights and even work out with a personal trainer for a year! I'm on a second roll!

My Goals:
My goal is to lose a total of 100 lbs. Since April 13, I've lost a total of 76 lbs!

A second goal is strength training to tone my arms. Finally, after 3 months, I'm starting to see results! Sleek toned arms look wonderful!

I still have more work to do, but it's exciting to keep working when you start to see progress!

My Program:
To reach my goals, I'm replacing sodas and milk with crystal clear water, walk/jog/running a mile every morning, and keeping track of my calories.

Smaller portions, a taste of Doritos (2 or 3 chips) with my lunch salad, and lots of celery, carrots and a few cashew nuts sprinkled in here and there.

I also write down my weight first thing every morning, and it keeps me sparked up to see I've dropped a pound or two in my morning weigh ins!
