My favorite feeling is the feeling of pride in myself when I finish, again. Nothin' better.

    Hey, Jen!

How's it going over here? My New Year started off with an unpleasant 'bang' and I'm currently still recuperating. SIGH. See my blog 'Joie De Vivre' and "Hence the Term LIFEstyle' if you want details. Stop by and let me know how you're doing.

Hi Jen, Thanks for you kind words on my page. First let me congratulate you for your re-committment to getting fit and healthy again. You know you are capable and that's a great piece of knowledge to have. But, please, lost the guilt and self-loathing, they have no positive purpose, and you don't deserve carrying that burden. Stuff happens, life happens, we are all human, and we all slip, but you have taken positive steps to get it right again and you need to give yourself the credit you deserve for every right choice you are now making. Keep up the good work and stop by often and let me know how you are doing.

Have the lovliest of holidays and keep on Sparking!

    Hey, Jen!

WOW! Friends on the page, some favourite articles, ticker displayed, teams all lined up AND weight coming off (but you need some blog entries... you'd be surprised how encouraging it is go back and read what you wrote months prior to wherever you are... I just did that for myself and I suddenly realized how much I had grown even if I hadn't lost as much weight as I wanted)! YOU'RE doing GREAT! No butt-kicking required! LOL!

Thanks for the sparkmail... I always hesitate before I do one of those (I do worry what people will think)... but the poor woman so needed something other than the sympathy and reasoning... it was like she was daring someone to give her an excuse to stop trying to do something better for herself. It's obvious THAT'S not the case on your page! She has emailed me, too, the last couple of days, and let me know what good things she is doing (I was surprised) and there was no whining or negativity... and she was so grateful for the 'interest I took'. Perhaps she has a pattern of not being noticed (a lot large people do) and so she's gotten into the habit of provoking confrontation just so people will engage with her. "?" Regardless, she actually seems a bit determined to give this a real try.... and I'm really prayin' that some continued interest will help her experience some small success that will really get her going.

WE CAN ALL DO THIS! And I'm glad I said something that helped. It's always good to know. Until the New Year (and I'm coming back with my shoes all polished up), be healthy and don't obsess about it all.

May you find peace within and all around you. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content. May the presence of Christ settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. May you have a blessed Christmas full of miracles and JOY!

    Hi Jen,
I'm from Missouri also. I'm new to SP and I'm having trouble getting started with the cardio part. I just can't seem to get motivated. I would like to do a 5K. Do you have any tips for me to help me get motivated. I would so appreciate them.

Thanks for your encouragement, Jen! I have to run tonight because I've been putting it off. I came home tired and dreading the thought. But just knowing someone else out there is running helps keeps me going. When I dieted in my younger years, I used to visualize a slimmer me. I've been overweight for so many years that I can't imagine hardly what I'd look like thin. I'd better start! That might help keep me motivated. And hey, love your comment about the soccer player! What a great feeling to be strong and proud. That's what I want, too. Check out this link to Google and see if it's the player you wanted:
