I had a baby in May 2010, and I'm STILL wearing my maternity clothes (Nov 2010). I used SP before I got pregnant, and lost the weight that I know led to my being able to get pregnant. I have PCOS and am Pre-Diabetic. We would like to have another child in the next couple of years, and in order to do that, I need to get rid of this weight. As of 1/2/2011, a group of five of my family members, myself included, have started our own Biggest Loser challenge. It will last the entire year of 2011. The hope is that with it lasting this long, we will all stick with it and stay motivated. 7/2016 Update...still haven't lost the weight, still no second baby. It's time to get serious and stop giving up on myself! 6/2017 Update.... Been talking to my doctor about possible bariatric surgery and weight loss meds. My insurance won't cover any of it fully, so it's not happening anytime soon. I've come back to Sparkpeople more motivated than I've been in the last 8 years. 1/2018 Update.... I decided to give Keto a try. I've started working again, which includes quite a bit of walking and climbing stairs. I'm tired of being winded each time I get to the top. This is the last self-monitored plan I'll be doing before going back too my doctor to work with a nutritionist and start the process for WLS. The surgery is a tool, not a quick fix, which I've come to realize after talking with many that have had it. It's not an easy way out... they struggle to lose and don't always get the most out of it. It's not a tool I want to have to have, but I cannot continue on at this insanely high weight any longer. I need and want to be healthier for me mostly, but also my family. So, Keto it is. So far, so good!

    Are you interested in a Challenge?

    The Biggest Loser goes for 10 weeks. It consists of 10 teams participating in weekly Fitness and Nutrition challenges. The Spring challenge will be getting started the beginning of March. It consists of fitness and nutrition challenges that are often in a form of a game. If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meet your needs. Often we do the challenge in a game form, we have BINGO and TIC TAC TOE or seasonally themed. For Winter we had Help Santa Fill His Sleigh, Run Rudolf Run and Super Bowl.     Just wanted to see if you are still on here. I have been on and off for awhile and have gained 30 pounds back, I plan on losing this again for the last time. So if you are still here, we can do this together. emoticon
