Thank you for visiting my SparkPage! I'm still trying to explore everything - the site is awesome, but truly massive.

Even at 51, I still haven't hit menopause, but am considered periomenopausal. Actually, I feel pretty well for an old lady. No hot flashes at all like many of my friends have, but PMS is starting up again. The most frustrating problem is that any fat goes directly to my abdomen and since I previously had a C-section, it doesn't take much to make me look 4 months pregnant.

I've had a weight problem since I was about 6 yrs. old and it's been up and down since my teenage years. It really got out of hand a few years ago and I finally took 50 pounds off doing Weight Watchers and I'm still a lifetime member and try to attend meetings at work on a weekly basis. About 12 pounds have creeped back and I'm fighting to get those back off. I'm trying to keep up with my exercise and eat more fruits and vegetables and avoid processed foods. That's not working too well.

I know I need to get back to journaling, and I will, but first I need to start working on planning a week at a time, both menu-wise and workouts. I love to hike and ride my bike which helps a lot, but I work full-time about an hour away from home and between that and some work we're currently doing on our house, I'm struggling.

Please keep in touch and let me know how you're doing. emoticon

    Welcome to SparkPeople!

I started June 2007 and by using Spark and some self discovery in the process, I'm down 25 pounds, and am holding steady at a healthy weight. Spark is a massive site, you'll be discovering new and exciting things for at least two months!
