Oops.. wrote it and forgot to save it.

My name is Jo, I am thinking about coming back to Spark after a several year absence

Major changes in my life. My husband died five years ago of cancer. During his illness I gained 30 pounds, but I have always fought my weight.

Last year I moved to a Senior Community after selling my home and downsizing. It was a good decision but tough.

I have a beautiful apartment in a new complex that has a pub, a restaurant, a full size indoor swimming pool, and nice gym, and many other things. The complex is 400 acres and ranges from full size homes with basements and garages all the way to nursing home, rehab, and even a Hospice.

I am 75 years old and in pretty good health. Still have red hair. Miss my husband still.

Fitness Minutes: 14,975

My Goals:
Get down to below 185, short term. (I have bounced between 187 and 190 for a year.)

TOPS goal is 165.. seems far off but reasonable.

My Program:
Healthy eating with a focus on healthy choices, limit starches, sweets and alcohol. I have a meal plan and the complex has seven restaurants so it is a bit of a challenge. I do have a full size kitchen, so no excuse.

Exercise, meeting my fitbit goals every day, strength 3 times a week and exercise in the pool.

Meditation, and other head type of work to help deal with left over emotional issues.

I was married to my soul mate, who died from pancreatic cancer five years ago. I am a grandmother. I am semi-retired, and work (still) as a medical paralegal part time, from home.

Other Information:
I am a political junkie, big time.

I also am an internet junkie and like to play on-line games.
