Everyday is a new beginning. I am trying to learn that I don't have to wait for tomorrow to begin again but as soon as I fall , I can get up and start over. I still maintain this thought and I can always start over.

My Goals:
To lose 25 lbs although I have about 55 I should lose. I am trying for the 25 first - it doesn't sound like a huge hurdle but it feels like it. I am trying to remember to ask for God's help when the food temptations occur as well as exercising which is a challenge with my phyical difficulties. But I am determied to remain determined to accomplish my goal within this year! Well good thought while it lasted. I do enough exercise that would bobble your mind, lifting and pushing and moving "stuff" just to make room to live and then there is the pool I long fro all winter. But I manage to stay at a regular weight although I did loose 10 lbs during my bout with vertigo - now time to face the scales again.

My Program:
my programwent down the tubes years ago but I still practice moderation and as I get older I see I cannot eat as much as I used to - (that is a good thing) and being a lover of sweets, I am careful of what I choose and how often. I always have a water bottle handy and limit any coffee intake. I don't bake like I used to which is a good thing for me but the grands are missing all those cookies I used to bake!

Personal Information:
My name is Joyce from Mechanic Falls, Maine. I have 4 grown children and 10 grandchildren. I have four granchildren who live with m0e. I am disabled but remain as active. I love to read, write, and I am very involved in my church. I have no time with all my grandchildren & daughter in law here to breathe sometimes and other times we just shriek with laughter!

Other Information:
I love to read phiosophical, theological, informational and faith-based books. My favorite authors are Max Lucado, Ellen White, Doug Bachelor, and Gary Smalley as well as the books written by Corrie ten-Boom. And others - still reading.

JoJo, thank you so much for the gift! I love it. It looks a little like mine. lol
Guess what....JoJo..I made it to my first MILE today!! I walked a full mile! I am so proud of myself, I didn't think that I could do it!! Woohoo!!
On the way back home I stopped and talked to my neighbor. She was sitting out on her porch. She is a very heavy lady and I told her about Spark People. She has been walking also and has lost 16lbs. I told her about mapmywalk.com also, so she could see how far she has walked. So my walk was extra special!! lol
I will add you to my friends list. Good for you for not giving up.
Any time you feel like giving up send me a message and I will pick you up and push you to start you again!! lol

Thank you Lizzy63 for your encouragement. I can use it. I have suffered from severe depression and thought I had finally climbed out of the pit with therapy - I have been doing pretty well but recently I felt like I was slipping into it again. This weight battle can sometimes trigger those negative thoughts. So I appreciate support and then I have those "up" days - like today has been better. Thank you - thank you.
I read a cute statement that impressed me and motivated me -
"The eat, eat, eat signal only stopped when the rats stored the extra calories as tummy fat."! I pictured myself as one of those rats dragging around some tummy fat! LOL You never know what will help!

Just passing by to say hello and give some encouragement.

    You CAN do this!

"Finish each day And be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities may have crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can.
