Started off on SparkPeople on a path of losing a few kgs and getting a bit less unfit - and dealing with (mainly work related) stress better. But really got the strength training bug now ;-)

Really wish someone had told me about this back in school, rather than me finally working this stuff out in my 40's. Still, better late than never!

When you get a bit stronger, you get more confident, and more independent. When you get physically stronger, you also get emotionally and mentally stronger.
I just don't see a downside to it at all.

Fitness Minutes: 7,411

My Goals:
Refocussing on a new goal now. To be stronger.

Getting there. Deadlifting 80kg, squatting 50kg now.

Long term goals
- unassisted chin-up
- one arm push-up
- deadlift of 2x my body weight
- squat 1x body weight

My Program:

Keeping to about 1500 calories or thereabouts, making sure I get at least 100g protein a day. Add protein shake after workout on ST days.

Weights 3 days a week.
Using Nia Shanks Beautiful Badass programs.

Still getting my 10,000 steps each day minimum.

Personal Information:
Scottish, living in Norway. Sharing my house with Mark, my "other half" for the last 13 years or so, and our dog Kyle.
Sharing my garden with our chickens, and gold fish in the garden ponds.

Other Information:
Used to grow all my own veggies, in Life Before Norway. It's too hard here, even with a couple of little greenhouses. Got some strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants...

Outside of my "good life" aspirations, I'm a Geek Girl. Apple not Droid. A Rationalist, with Buddhist leanings and a desire to be more mindful. But compelled to ask Why? to everything.
