I have been reading a lot about heart disease and diabetes and I know I am a walking target for both of these. Put aside all the vain reasons for wanting to lose weight, I just want to be fit and healthy. After I achieve this I will be more interested in all the other thousands of reasons to lose weight and get in shape.

Having been here on Spark for many years I feel 2019 is the perfect year to get to my goal weight. My motivation is high, but more importantly I have learned how to reinvigorate myself when going through periods of plateaus. Being here on Sparkpeople has given me so many powerful tools and great friends that motivate and inspire me everyday. Thank you Spark Guy for creating this great space for people to dream big and achieve their goals.

Fitness Minutes: 113,472

My Goals:
Jan 2019 Goals for this year.

1. Get more active. This means add more steps on my FitBit

2. Spend 1/2 hour per day outdoors.

3. Strengthen my core and do more stretching activities.

4. Keep a journal for the entire year, a small entry for each day.

5. Spend more time reading and writing and less time crocheting

6. Work out 5 times per week.


My Program:
1. Stay within 1300-1550 calories per day

2. Exercise 5 days a week, - 3 days of jogging or walking and 3 days of strength training

3. Keep posting in my food journal - daily

4. Encourage other people on Spark as much as possible

5. Eat 8 freggies per day

6. Continue drinking 8 glasses of water per day

7. Concentrate on conquering emotional eating by:
a) blogging about it
b) reading other peoples blogs to motivate me
c) not disappearing from Spark when times get rough
d) Stop after any 1 time of binging and think about why it has happened and what I can do to prevent it the next time it might happen, then write about this

8. Run/Walk 50K steps per week.
