In 2011 I started using spark people. I was a whopping 215 lbs...worked hard, ate right, drink water and got my weight all the way down to 126 sometime in 2012. I felt amazing. But then it happened..I screwed up and I became one of the statistics where you lose alot of weight quickly you gain it all back just as fast and found myself back up to the 200's by 2013. Here it is 2015 and I'm dangling at 204 lbs. & feeling miserable. I get out of breath quickly...I have chest pains..I am feeling MISERABLE. My dad past away this past year due to a heart attack. Did he smoke? No. Did he eat badly? Yes. Was he morbidly obese? According to his BMI he was probably overweight but not OBESE. Whereas I am OBESE. I have got to get this under control! Please help me with your support. Starting today (05/03) ... I will be 204 lbs, and today is Day 4 with no cokes. I can and WILL and HAVE to do this. My Goals:
My inital goal weight is to be 125. I am 5'2 and at my biggest was 215 pounds. As of right now 05/04/2015 I weighed in at 204.00! Started doing my daily workouts again and eating right and hoping to get down to 120 by 05/07/2016.

My Program:
My program is calorie counting 1200-1550 calories a day. I try to bounce back and forth between 1200 and 1550 but most the time end up ranging at the 1200 side! I'm not rushing into exercising...I will walk some on my lunch breaks, and try to do a hiking trail once per week and push mow my grass instead of riding the mower...i also try and get some workout videos in (walk away the pounds...30 day shred...)

Personal Information:
I am a 28 y/o female. I went to the doctor at the beginning of October of 2010 and that's when he told me I was too big when he got my blood results back he told me I had a fatty liver and if I didn't lose weight it could damage it. That scared me straight. After I lose this weight I am bound and determined to NEVER be overweight again.

    I would like to tell you about National Walking Month, which is October! Each year Health Enhancement Systems sponsors Walktober, a national walking campaign. The Walktober website calls it an “inspiring program is designed to boost your energy and improve your health by making fitness walking a habit during October… and beyond.”

    There is a great group on SparkPeople called Walktober Sparks, and I would love for you to become a part of this group. This group is for Sparkers who wish to find their Walktober Muse and enjoy this inspiring campaign in the spirit of laughter and perhaps a bit of competition. Of course, you do not have to join the national campaign to Sparktober during Walktober, but if you wish, there is a $4 fee to join ($20 if you want the tshirt). I personally think it is worth it, but many people just do not want to pay that fee. That is okay with us! : )

    Some fun things you will find in the Walktober Sparks team: Walk Talk is where we report our daily exercise. It sort of keeps us accountable to ourselves and each other. We might think of breaking into groups for a little friendly competition. Just for FUN forums include a daily totally useless trivia question and a more serious daily question. We are also looking for forum & activity ideas, so jump in with your suggestions!

    Some things you will find on the Walktober Site: The interactive calendar is a fun way to track walking (you choose whether to track steps or minutes)! I wish we had it all year long! Walktober sends you an inspiring email every day, along with a photo of the day and a recipe of the day. If this group gets big enough, we can even divide into competitive teams of 4 or more, and Walktober will track our progress. It is a great compliment to SparkPeople, but it only lasts ONE MONTH. I hope we can all find a Walktober Muse that will keep us moving all year long!
