2014 not sure where the year went but gonna be different this year. I have signed up for lots of races but mostly small ones. No more full marathons for awhile. Going back to gym and even got a trainer. Ready to rock a bikini this year.
2013... Starting the year back up in weight so time to get serious
2012 This year I am going to focus on my diet.
I need to think about being on a diet. I have never been on one.
I am also going to cook out of 52 cookbooks this year. 1 for every week of the year and blog about them.
In the two years on Sparks I have gone from learning to run a mile to running a marathon. Now I need to work on the weight part.

Me in a nutshell: Stay-at-home busy PTA, soccer mom to 2 kids ages 8 and 6. Moved to the states from Europe in time for kids to start Kindergarten. I have never had a problem with my weight until I had kids then I got too lazy and too busy to bother with anything then realized my size 14 was the largest size in the store.

8/10 Run A Muck 4 mile boot camp 45min

6/10 Annapolis HM 2:32 in 90 degree temps

5/10 Capital Hill Classic 10K 1:02

4/10 GW Parkway Classic 10 miles 1:49 ran w/my BFF who had never done a race.

4/10 Cherry Blossom 10 miler 1:47 with a 10:23 avg pace

11/09 Ran 5 mile Turkey Trot 50:18 (Never ran that far before)
I was scared to run that far but now I know I can do it.

10/09 Ran 1st 5K in 29:50 minutes
That is the fastest I have run 3 miles.

8/09 Decided to start running
6/09 Finally got a digital scale. That means I am serious.
I started out with just getting off the couch. I took the dog for walks. Then I added exercises while doing laundry.

Next step was buying some DVDs.

Next step was joining a gym and getting a trainer so I know what to do. I had never been to a gym.

Now I have learned about calories It has taken me 35 years to learn how many calories are in a pound.

    Thanx for reading my poem and the wonderful comment. It's my self therapy.......cheaper than the real thing and kinda works for me :). Welcome to SP......hope your first few weeks haven't been too challenging and your finding the new change rewarding. I just had my first and I can totally relate how tricky managing weight can be after children. So good luck......and keep in touch! Have a great week!
