Just read ur last blog. WOW That kayak is REALLY COOL !!! Reading through how it works is very interesting !! Hows that coming along?

Also that was written in June,,, hows the commitment coming along? A little bit of advice,, take or leave it,,,,, as a leader on a team, we strongly encourage eating breakfast. There are soooo many articles on this. For when we eat breakfast,,,,, doesn't to be a heavy one, can be just a piece of fruit, a yogurt etc it helps our energy level so we burn more calories through the day. Perhaps instead of starting at 3PM you can try to eat 5 to 6 small meals at 300 (if 5) cals or less a day. Also it's been proven if we eat a breakfast,,, most don't overeat. Of course that's "Most" which means it doesn't work for all. You know ur body the best !

LOVE the commitment !! the walking is AWESOME especially considering the amputation. THe Dr at the wound clinic told me "I don't want to see you have this done and than sit in a wheelchair for the rest of life as most do." I almost burst out laughing ! Instead I said "You don't know me well,,, that's NOT going to happen. I LOVE walking, I've been a wheelchair for a long period of time, I was told "you will not ever walk again." and yet, look I walked in here." My friend who had came with me spoke up "She's not going to sit down and not move, she will fight to do as she wants." So he changed his tune..

Thought I'd stop by and see how ur doing? At this point, the head honcho at the wound clinic has agreed all has been done. I am back in a cast til Weds, if I am healed it comes off and I see my foot Dr/surgeon. Now she ALSO has something she wants to try. When I told them at the Wound Clinic this,,, they were helpful and honest. The reason why they kept trying is because it goes against their teaching to amputate healthy tissue. Mine IS healthy. It's the bone which is causing the issues, but yes as said, they say now it needs to be done. That my Dr wants to clear her own conscience. I totally understand. To me it's a waste of time and is just delaying what needs to be done, but while its my foot,,,, it's not right to hurt anyone else in the process. She's such a caring Dr. I like her very, very much. So much that though now she no longer accepts one of my insurances I have told her I want to stay and that I'll pay the 20%. Usually that amount isn't to much, of course with a surgery,,,,it'll add way up and fast. That's OK !!! I'd MUCH rather pay her than to have to put my faith in a Dr I do NOT know.

OH TY TY TY SO MUCH for seeing my blog !!! I DO Value your input !! The "stay busy" is AWESOME Advice !!! I have bought an erator set a few months back,,,, I have been waiting for the time when I REALLY needed to be distracted. This would be the time. I have a nutritionist now who has told me during any of these times to just lower my cals to 1,000, but make SURE none of them are empty ones,,, to make WISE choices. I am SO GLAD I have her.

I read on your page you were hit by a car. I am SO SORRY !! At least I have the knowledge it'l happen,,,, if I end up going through the fix it surgery it'll happen at some point.

Did you have help with a therapist etc to help you with the loss? I don't now if that's a good idea or not.
