My journey on SparkPeople has been full of ups and downs, but I know that when I Spark consistently, I see the effects in my life very quickly. I'm here to lose a bit of weight so my clothes fit comfortably and I have more energy going about my day. My go-to exercise is running. My long term goal is to lose about 30 pounds, but I know it will take baby steps to be successful.

4. Exercise for 30-60 minutes a day (this encompasses everything from walking to running to biking to strength-training).

5. No more than one alcoholic drink a week.

6. No more than 700 calories of sweets a week.

7. Track all food and exercise.

8. Take monthly progress pictures and measurements.

9. Blog/journal at least once a week.

10. Shoot for 5-7 servings of vegetables/fruit a day.

    Thank you for the comment on my blog :) My bf hurt his ankle at work one day almost a year ago. His foot slipped off one of the rubber mats at work that are to help people who are on their feet long hours. He went to a orthopedist who said he has great ankles and couldn't figure out why he is in so much pain. He's now been diagnosed with tendonosis which is different than tendonitis, tendonosis is a bit worse and has a long healing period. The best way to heal is to stay off of his feet but working at a sheet metal company where all he does is stand it is slowing down the healing. The worker's comp doctor will not take him off of work and the pt said he needs to be off of work to allow it to heal. He had several pt appointments but she said she won't see him again until he sees a podiatrist. Worker's comp said he can only go to one that's in their network and the closest one is in San Francisco which is only a 20 minutes away but the driving, the time needed, the gas, toll bridge fee, and parking fees makes it a horrible mess that he doesn't want to do. We found a podiatrist literally down the street from us but worker's comp won't let him go there ugh.

    I saw my chiropractor this morning. My neck is a little stiff, and I'm a little nervous driving, but otherwise, things are almost normal.

    Thanks for the tips on my page. I had every intention of getting healthy and looking my best for my big day. I haven't been taking my goals seriously lately, eating greasy brugers and fries on weekends with my fiancee, even candy.. all of which seems crazy because my wedding is in 2 months and I'm no where near where I had invisioned for my special day. But now I'm back on track and confident I am going to make it happen. No cheat days like you reccommended. emoticon
