I made a SparkPage back in July of 2007, setting a goal to lose 100 pounds by July of 2008. It is now February of 2008 and I have lost a whopping 4 pounds! I have a daughter who will be one year old in April and as soon as she starts walking, I need to have the energy to chase her around the house. So, it's time. I have a friend that is as motivated as myself that is going to do this with me. Good things happen with support. So...here goes!

Update 3/25/08: Thanks to the strength this program gives me, I have dropped just over 25 pounds. I quit smoking. I am incorporating exercise on a semi-regular basis. I am happy. I am strong.

Update 11/14/08: I went on Sabbatical for too long and have just climbed back on the wagon although I seem to keep falling off of it. I must have a balance problem. :) During the horribly long hiatus, I picked back up smoking (occasionally) and have been gaining and losing the same 5-10 pounds. So...here I am once again. I am going to try as I might to get it to stick this time. I have to. It's my life we're talking about.

Update 1/21/09: Our country is about to embark on something historical today...no matter how we feel about our new president, the truth is there will be change. I figured today was as good as any to pick myself back up and do what I know is right. So here I am, once again, ready to really do it this time.

Fitness Minutes: 3,076

My Goals:
(1) Under 250. Haven't been there since months and months before I got pregnant. That would feel great. (Did it!)
(2) 10%. This would be minus 27 pounds. That's more than my daughter weighs. I want to make this goal by Easter. (Did it!)
(3) 225. This is my Memorial Day goal. I haven't been this weight in a couple years. (Did it!)
(4) Under 200. I can't even fathom what this will feel like. I think I'll buy myself something hot and have a rockin' night out.
(5) 190. Only been there once in my life since weight became an issue for me. I looked hot.
(6) Ultimate goal. 180. Never been there, but I know it's possible. Here's to me!


My Program:
Calories: 1340-1690
Fat: 35-62
Carbs: 179-258
Protein: 60-139
Water: 8 or more/day
Exercise: 30 minutes of cardio, 4 days a week with 2-3 days of strength training. (I'm starting small this time. In the past I have burned myself quite quickly diving in head first.)

My name is Jenn and I am an RN at a large medical center in central Illinois. I gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl in April of 2007. I am single and LOVING it! :) I recently regained a sense of self which is absolutely the most amazing feeling in the world. This is for me.


Other Information:
This time, when I tell myself I can do this, I believe it. I no longer feel the need to rely on others to get me there. I can do this. I will do this. I am so grateful for this place. You all are so encouraging and motivating.

    Yes I have a facebook account... just got it :) So I just had to share because I am pretty proud of myself! 210 mins of cardio this week/120 was sp goal and 3585 calories burned/1300 was sp goal. I tell you this new dvd has me actually smiling while I am doing it! I hope you are kickin ass and taking names girl! Have a great weekend.
    p.s. Had all the boys(our friends) over for dinner last night and when the looked at their plates they were like " ewww enough veggies here? No potatoes?" and by the end of the meal they decided healthy meals can actually be good. Bunch of big babies that could use some veggies and more healthy foods! VICTORY!!! JK ;)
