1/2015. I am 45yrs old, with a new 13wk old baby. So at the center of my everything, are 4 little ones. A gifted 8yr old girl, a resilient and oh-so-sweet but mighty energetic 6yr old boy, an incredibly polite and smart almost 3yr old, and our new *surprise!* 3mos. old. I often mix up their names. I'm ready - again - to begin the begin and start the journey. I loved being fit, running 5Ks, having 45min every morning just to myself and my exercise. I'm 200lbs, and wish to only see that in my rearview mirror, not wedged between my bare feet on the scale. 150lbs was a nice feeling weight for me (after this havoc of 4 pregnancies, I'm not thinking 130s anymore). I'm ready to begin BLC27 and commit and persist. I'm just READY. Let's do this thing!
6/2012. I am 42yrs old, and recently had a baby. I have a 5yr old daughter (extra smart), a 3yr old son (extra defiant), and a new 14 week old daughter (extra sweet). Each preg has left me 10lbs heavier than my start weight. I am now 40lbs heavier than before my 1st preg. I am dedicated now to getting back to start and getting and staying healthy. God knows I need to in order to keep up with these monkeys! I see the fork in the road... I have friends who have gone the MILF path *pardon my French! and I've seen others who have changed into the other extreme of the mom stereotype. I choose not to just relax and let it all go, it is not where I am comfortable. I feel the change and I can see the result!

    Hi JEN! I was happy to see you join us for the meal prep and planning challenge! I'm hoping since I am also meal prep/planning challenged that I can run a helpful challenge!

    I really appreciate what you said about trying to get the kids to eat more veggies and how easy it is for meal to get carb (and not the good ones!) heavy. A year ago I cut out nearly all of our processed carbs and it has been amazing how many more veggies the kids eat naturally because of it. They used to barely eat some green salad but have seconds on spaghetti and now one of their favorite meals is "big salad" night, lol. It takes time but it is a possible and worthwhile endeavor. I hope the challenge is just what you need to help make the changes you want to make!
