I am Living Healthier with Spark People. It is spring 2018. The characteristic buzz of the whirling wings of selasphorus hummingbirds is in the air.

After initially being introduced to Spark People in 2010, I left in quick order. I returned in late December 2013 and have undergone an amazing transformation. I feel so much better. I love the feeling of being “at home” in my body again!

I have maintained below an initial goal weight of 144 lbs. since June 2014. More specifically, I have experienced a very slow, downward trend since entering maintenance nearly 4 years ago. I do believe that my body has taken me to the low region of its healthy weight range.

I find myself atypically thin in a country that finds nearly one third of its population overweight, over one third of its population obese, and nearly eight percent of its population extremely obese meaning that a whopping 70%+ find themselves overweight or obese in the United States. It has taken consistent effort and focused attention to improve my health and well-being. The journey has not been easy; but, has been well worth the effort and continues to unfold. This community has been far more than an information source. Resources, support, encouragement and inspiration abound here.

    Thank you so much for your comment on my blog. Yep! Working hard full time until 70 is probably plenty but I have no idea how I’ll feel about it by 2021, or even what my life will be like. Right now, I’m going to have a geed time getting a clean floor.

    emoticon 6-13-19 Another day of up before heat. I LOVE this website community! It IS about me, emoticon , my goals, my thoughts, my friends, emoticon It IS ME time! Today's adventure: up at sunrise (about 5am) Walk LUCY emoticon , house loving's in order, emoticon , breakfast on the downstairs deck, today I was CRAVING my chicken soup, emoticon just made 2 days ago. Strange for breakfast, but.... there you go! I REALLY listen to what my body wants) emoticon swim 30 minutes (still building up mussels, I was SO good at end of last year swimming cycle, surprised I need the time!) emoticon emoticon , putts-ing in yard. Today was the FIRST Gardenia bloom! emoticon I pamper that bush ALL year for these 2 weeks of pretties! They smell like heaven! They usually bloom on DH birthday June 16 through mine, July 6, about 2 weeks! (even the Gardner can't believe I grow them in this desert!) Gifts for us! emoticon emoticon Stay safe everyone! It will be 106 today, here! emoticon
