I am a happily (most of the time!) married mom of 3 busy children. I am a teacher of students with learning disabilities and/or behavioral issues. With all that goes on in my life, I have little time for the things that I enjoy, so I eat sugary foods as a way to "reward" myself. All it's done is reward me with extra weight and added frustration. I am tired of it, and ready to make small consistent steps towards positive changes!

Lose .5-1 pound a week until my birthday on May 1st.
Drink more water!
Exercise 3x a week (to start)
Be 20 pounds less by 5/1
Maintain 145# within 5#

I have lived my entire life in DE. I like the small state and now as a parent, my kids know that there is nothing they can get away with because we know everyone!!
I love music of all kinds but especially country.
My husband and I boat with our three children in the Chesapeake Bay during the summer and I am hard-pressed to recall what we did on weekends before boating.
Other Information:
I was diagnosed with RA several years ago and am trying to stay active so my long-term effects are minimized.
My children keep me active and I am in my 6th year of teaching as a special educator in middle school. This is a second career for me and I believe I have finally found my calling
