My planned 18 in 2018 activities:

1. Read 6 books related to health.
2. Reread a childhood favorite book.
3. Read or watch Sophie's Choice. Watched 2/3/18
4. Read a book of poetry.
5. Hand tie a blanket.
6. Make a button bracelet.
7. Try 12 new recipes.
8. Make a lemon meringue pie from scratch.
9. Listen to 12 podcasts.
10. Take a class, one day or several and gardening ones don't count.
11.Attend a symphony performance.
12. Participate in the library's winter reading program. January 21 to March 3. I read 9 books and got a Bingo this year. I won a prize again this year which wasn't surprising since I don't think a lot of people sign up for this and you can only win one prize (there were over 20 offered).
13. Get a deep tissue massage.
14. Try acupuncture.
15. Get a Plant Peel Facial Treatment.
16. Play cards at the senior center.
17. Go on a Brewery Tour.
18. Attend open mic night. Just to listen.

Lose 20 lbs.

Eat a healthier diet -- with an emphasis on fruits and vegetables.

Walk/bike/Spark videos for a total of 120 fitness minutes per day.

Drink my water!!!

Learn to think before I eat.

Personal Information:
I live in Central Wisconsin. I retired from my job as a speech therapist for a local school district in June 2008. Then I worked part time until June 2012. Now I am fully retired. I have been married for 35 years. We only have fur kids. Mostly we've owned dogs but in November 2013 we decided to give a kitty a chance. Tony is quite an experience.

Other Information:
I love to read, cross stitch and crochet. My favorite thing to do is to walk the dogs. My husband was diagnosed with celiac disease in January 2011 so we have had to change the way we cook and eat. For the most part, it has been a positive change. He has other health problems that limit his mobility so I care for him as needed. I also share the care for my aging father and my stepmother who has dementia.

The hail was on the small side. It was the oddest storm. Started out as hail. I could hear it hit the window..Then it started pouring rain. That stopped and started hailing again. It went back and forth for a while, then stopped. Today the sun is out. Still windy, but warm enough it is nice if you aren't in the shade. How is Molly?

    Hi Janet,
SOOO glad that Molly seems to be coming back to herself! Hoping that continues!

Jen has had many health issues in her young life. This is a bit more than a hiccup and probably will be another condition she will have to live with. Still, very grateful that it is seeming the crisis may have passed.

Hope all goes well with your dad tomorrow and that Molly continues to get better as the day goes on.

Hugs and very soft and gentle head butts for Molly.

Thanks for the update! I could picture you breaking trail and Molly following after...! A labor of love to feed the birds - awesome. My particular little neighborhood missed most of the ice that surrounded us. Even today's rainfall totals have been reduced - we'll see!! Am Hoping the forecast is accurate because a) my gutters are off this week!! emoticon and b) the end of the week may be dry and warm enough to paint.

Poor Molly - missing her walks! Without realizing it I guess I have my dogs pretty conditioned to our schedule too. emoticon
