I've started and failed at more diets than I can count. How can I teach my daughter to set goals and develop self-discipline if I don't model it? How can I help her learn to enjoy food and physical activity if I eat junk food and sit around all day? It's time to master this once and for all. I'm tired of the "I'll start on Monday" mentality.

My Goals:
Overall goal: be at a healthy BMI (130 lb or less) with an established fitness routine by the end of 2016! And only once I reach my goal will we consider getting pregnant again! I want to start the next pregnancy at a healthy weight and make more of an effort to be fit and healthy during my next pregnancy in order to reduce discomfort, the risk of complications, and the chances of another c-section.

Goal 1: 165 lb by May 1

Goal 2: 160 lb by June 1

Goal 3: 155 lb by July 1

Goal 4: 150 lb by August 1

Goal 5: 145 lb by Sept 1

Goal 6: 140 by Oct 1

Goal 7: 135 lb by Nov 1

Goal 8: 130 by Dec 1

Goal 9: STILL be at 130 by the New Year -- i.e., maintain the loss!

My Program:
1. To begin, start with running 3x/week for 30 minutes, plus yoga 2x week for 30 min. I will review this plan on the first of each month and adjust as I feel necessary. I'd like to work up to four runs a week, with one long run (5+ miles), as well as two long (1 - 1.5 hour) yoga classes each week, plus additional strength training as I feel is necessary (if yoga doesn't seem to be cutting it).

2. Track food on Sparkpeople daily

3. Go to bed at a reasonable hour each night.

Personal Information:

1. Feel comfortable in my own skin.

2. Model healthy behaviors for my daughter.

3. Be at a healthier weight before pregnancy #2 (ideally, 150 lb or less).

4. To never have to "start over" again!
