I lost the weight for my son's wedding. I worked really hard for months and met my personal goal of 140 pounds. I looked and felt GREAT. That was only 7 weeks ago. Then I just went back to my old eating habits and here I am back up to 150 pounds already. I feel horrible. I started exercising again yesterday, going slowly at first because of my back and hip pain.

My problem is eating out. We do that a lot, especially in the summer. My husand and I go out to dinner with friends once or twice a week and I don't eat right when I go out. Also, I've gotten into the habit of eating desserts again. I completely stopped sweets to lose the 20 pounds for the wedding and now I crave them again after ever meal.

I'm so dissappointed that I've done this. It's like if I have a goal - like a wedding or big event, I am determined and I do it, but as soon as that event is over, I slip right back into bad habits.

So here I go again, my high school reunion is the end of September and I am starting again to get back down to the 140 or below. But I've got to stop this up and down...I've GOT to.

My Goals:
My youngest son is getting married in June and I want to lose 15 more pounds by then - two and a half months from now!

I did it for the wedding. Then I gained half of it back in just 7 weeks.

I keep flipflopping.

My Program:
Go to the gym, or go on my treadmill at home, at least 3 times a week, eat less and better, drink more water, and write it all down. I know what I need to do. I just need to do it!

Personal Information:
I'm 67 years old and have SIX grandchildren. Married to my soul mate. Life has been pretty good to me and I'm very very grateful. I wish my children and grandchildren lived closer. They live in Maryland and I'm in Atlanta.

    Thanks for the birthday wishes!

    I was just reading on your page that you like ballroom dancing. My DH and I have taken lessons and we really like dancing. We have not done it in the last few months though.

    I tried a zumba class, and on my fourth visit, I did something to my hip!!! It made a very bad noise! But it has gotten better, so I am debating whether or not to try it again. I really thought zumba was fun. My doctor said it would be OK to try it again. (I asked him if I would be crazy to go back and he said, no it might be ok!)

    On the bright side, I stood in the kitchen with my DH helping me, and threw out all the rest of the candies and sweets that were in that cabinet!!!
