Finding My Inner Athlete
I am a 42 year old working mother who wants to feel better than I do today by getting more active and living more intentionally. The last few years I have developed into an emotional eater so I am working to change these behaviors and find some of the athlete that I was once by becoming more active - biking is one of the newest avenues. I love running and dancing and wish I did more of both. I also love to read great books, cook great food, and watch great movies!

My Goals:
I am on a mission to find my inner athlete and to find peace about my weight. I want to feel good and not waste time on negative thoughts and feelings about my appearance. Losing 35 pounds is my ultimate goal.
My Program:
I am counting calories, eating whole foods as much as possible, and making fitness part of my every day life. I long to run longer and bike harder and take up swimming and do more dancing. I am on a STREAK to reach 200 days of fitness. I'm on day 8 (1-7-12). Read THE SPARK!
Personal Information:
I am from Alabama, married with a 6 year old son. I work full time as a Human Resources Manager. Juggling a demanding job and my family is definitely a challenge and the fitness is always the first thing to go when stress hits, then the eating. I love to read, listen to music, relax by the water (lake or beach), ride bikes with my son and husband, love Broadway Musicals, date nights with my husband, and girls night out with friends.
Other Information:
My husband can eat 4,000 cal or more a day and not gain any weight. He has a disease that causes him not to absorb his food. While I certainly sympathize with his condition, it makes it challenging to prepare food for both of us.
