I'm Christie! I am 5 feet and 3 inches short and I am 19 years young. :) I have been overweight my whole life. I have tried many, many diets and ways of eating and the only one that has ever worked for me is Atkins. I don't eat no sugar, no bread, no pasta, no starchy vegetables, stuff like that. I do eat a lot of salads and low carb vegetables. I have got down to almost half of my weight loss goal!! Oh yeah, I exercise 3 times a week. I do Tae Bo Cardio and I love it!! I have learned that exercising may be boring or hard at first, but if you give it a chance, it becomes fun. Add me as a friend or leave me a comment if you want to know more. I wish you all the best of luck with all of your weight loss goals and with any of the other goals that you may have! :)

Fitness Minutes: 888

My Goals:
-240- Met!~June 14.
-230- Met!
-220- Met!
-210- Met! (but fell off wagon for a few weeks)
-200-
-190-
-180-
-170-
-160-
-150-

Other Goals:
-Work on my self-esteem.

-Have more confidence.

-Buy an outfit at JCPenney when I hit mid-way goal.

-Take body pictures and post.

My Program:
-Atkins, the only one that works for me...

-I usually eat 3 times per day not unless I get a little hungry in between meals then I will have a low carb snack.

-I mostly eat salads, and other vegetables. One thing I like the most about Atkins is if I want a steak or a hamburger, I can have it...I just can't have the bread...and no calorie counting either! :)

-I can eat fast food but when I do I usually get a side salad and throw out the carrots and I get some sort of meat to top it off.

-I drink plenty of water. I have always been the type to drink A LOT, so I get about 10 to 14 cups a day! No sodas for me.

-I DO NOT eat sugars, breads, pastas, or starchy vegetables.

-Most importantly, I have a wonderful husband that keeps me alive (basically) and going on the right path. My dog Tinkerbell also helps me with getting motivated and taking walks!

Personal Information:
-I stand 5 feet and 3 inches.

-I'm 19 years young.

-Known as Mrs. Ci~Ci.

-Got married to the love of my life and dreams on September 27, 2008!

That's about it for now.

Other Information:
-I'm very carb sensitive, that is why Atkins works best for me.

Hey there diva! We're mid-week and this is usually the time when I feel a little blah about things and need a good swift kick in the .... well.... you get the idea. So here I am to give you a jolt into the rest of the week. Plus this quote works perfectly for me after my thingy with my co-worker the other day.

Diva Motivation: "Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great." (Mark Twain)

My Diva Two Cents: We all have at least one person (maybe more) who is always trying to sabotage our weight loss efforts. They tell you that just one won't hurt you or if you have this just workout an extra 30 minutes the next day. Sometimes that person might actually be jealous, scared or not ready to admit they have a weight problem. Whatever their reason is, it's not you! You do not have to fall into their trap. You are worth it no matter what. Don't let someone else bring you down. Make the choice to be the stronger person and accept responsibility for what you eat and exercise. Take control away from anyone who tries to make you feel bad, sabotage or change you. You're stronger than you think you are! Make the choice, make it count!

Have an amazing rest of the week! Be Well Diva!

Good Morning Divas! I hope your first week of the June challenge, "Double Dip Diva" went well. Remember it's all about challenging yourself to do better. We can all use that no matter what stage of our journey we're in.

Diva Motivation: "Focusing on what we already have and are grateful for right now is one of the most powerful things we can do to alter our life in a positive way." (Mike Robbins)

My Diva Two Cents: Too many times we focus on the end or something in the future, instead of putting the energy and focus into right now. Take the time to live in your moment of now. Don't think about what you will be doing later on in your journey, but think about now. What can you do NOW to make your journey a success? What can you do NOW to stay focused on your journey? Take the time to make yourself pretty today instead of waiting until you lose the weight. Buy yourself a nice outfit in the size you're wearing now so you can feel good about the way you look. We always think about how we will look and feel when the weight is gone, but if you don't start making yourself feel good and happy about who you are now you'll still feel the same later on, just skinnier. Treat yourself good now and it will pay off in the end.

Here's to an amazing week! Be Well Divas!

So if you're ready to take on the challenge of counting calories and meeting an exercise minute goal then come on over and check out the triple D challenge. It's located on the main team page.

There are some that have fallen off the wagon, gone away from the team, have never really joined up with the team or need a little extra push this month. Whatever the reason is this is the perfect time to start fresh. I'm in the same boat starting fresh again, but hey I never give up. So, come on over join the challenge and make June a successful month on your journey!

    Be Well Diva!

These heroes are dead. They died for liberty – they died for us. They are at rest. They sleep in the land they made free, under the flag they rendered stainless, under the solemn pines, the sad hemlocks, the tearful willows, and the embracing vines. They sleep beneath the shadows of the clouds, careless alike of sunshine or of storm, each in the windowless Place of Rest. Earth may run red with other wars – they are at peace. In the midst of battle, in the roar of conflict, they found the serenity of death. I have one sentiment for soldiers living and dead: cheers for the living; tears for the dead. (Robert G. Ingersoll)
