I am a married 39 year old mother of 3 girls. I define myself as a full time mother, employee and student. Yes, all of these full-time. During all of this I have found less and less time to take care of me and that's what I want to change. I want to find the time to fit in exercise and eating right while maintaining my daily routine.

My weight has fluctuated for over 20 years now. I can always remember loving to take pictures for family memories until I saw myself in one taken at my oldest daughter's graduation in June 07'. That coupled with someone telling me my son was handsome....who by the way was my husband, was the last straw!

For all you Biggest Loser fans, you will recognize this statement. I heard a man say "that he and his wife wanted to lose weight before their son recognized that they were fat". Well that's too late for me. My 4 year old has recognized it and even punched a little girl at school for saying her mom was fat. I think the guilt really settled in when she was punished for protecting her mom. That's what hurts the most to hear her tell me that I should go on The Biggest Loser too. Although I realize that, I don't want my four year old telling me this. This is another reason I decided to try out a website geared towards weight loss where I could get some positive support from people just like me.

In the words of a dear old friend....when you're sick and tired of being sick and tired, you'll stop complaining and do something about your weight. Well that time has come....NOW!

I'm tired of being overweight and I need to do something about it. Now topping the scales at a whopping 267 lbs, it's time I do this for me and no one else. Although my family is supportive of me, I know that this is going to be a struggle, but I'm up for the challenge.

I want to do the simple things in life that most of us take for granted like tying my shoe laces (without pulling a muscle) or walking down one flight of stairs without feeling like I'm having a heart attack. I just want to feel pretty again......

Hello Fellow Sparkers!!!

It's been a few years since I've been online. I kinda lost myself in the hustle and bustle called LIFE. The past two years, I've made a few changes. I had lap-band surgery, which was partially successful. I say partially because at the time I was looking for a quick fix and I quickly learned there was no such thing! Having the lap band is difficult and takes hard work so here I am. Back to where I started for motivation and success! I had the surgery in May 2009 at which time I weighed in at 277 lbs. Today I am 230 lbs! I'll post new pictures soon. After two years I would have hoped that I would have lost a lot more but I've realized that at least 50% of losing weight is mental and my mind just wasn't in it. I still continued to over eat and barely exercise. My before pictures have been my motivation for the past couple of weeks because I DO NOT want to go back to that place EVER AGAIN!!

I'm ready for a change! Won't you join me?

My Goals:
My short term goal is to lost 30lbs. My long term goal is 7o total.

Log daily into

Get in at least 30 minutes of exercise 7 days a week.

My Program:
I walk/run on the treadmill at work at least 3 times a week. Additionally I do trampoline jumps with my daughters at home.

    Hey girl! I see that you added me back in March but I have been away from SP for a while. I was holding myself back with my negative thoughts for over a year. NO MORE! You are right. I got sick and tired of being sick and tired, so now I'm determined. I'm not filling my own head with these fantasies of losing 10 pounds in a week or 15 pounds in a month. I'm steadily pumping myself up by saying that any exercise is better than none and that food should be enjoyed but I can find enjoyment in other ways. I'm retraining my mind as I reshape my body. So, hang in there girl. I am. We can do this. YES WE CAN!
