...needs to grow bigger! I'm working on it, but I'm struggling. I'm here to get a little help from my friends!

I have been on the diet roller coaster all my life and I'm dizzy from it! I need to make some permanent, sensible changes in my life. I'm tired of being handicapped by my weight. I need inspiration and support, and this looks like a good place to find it. I look forward to getting to know some of you.

I have 6 beautiful grandchildren, ages 11-26 one GREAT-grandson who is 5 already, and I'd like to be here to see them grow up!

I've been an avid knitter for 45 yearsand love computer games and reading on my Kindle, as well as spending time with the grandkids. My knitting is taking a turn to loom knitting because it's easier on my fingers now.

I just adopted two kittens and I'm already so in love with them I just can't stand it. They have to be the cutest kittens in the world. They are brother and sister and I named them Ozzie and Harriet.

So in my first 4 months, though I really count it 3 months because the whole first month I lost nothing, I lost 20 pounds. I feel really good about that. Sure, the 20 pounds less on my bad knees is a bit of a relief, but what it showed me is all the possibilities. I know now that if I do my part here, I can go as far as I want. It has given me a sense of confidence about this New Year we've headed into. I'm so anxious to know where I'll be a year from now. This might be the year that I lose 100 pounds! Or maybe I'll lose 50. But what I know is that I'll be smaller than I am now. And that is wonderful!

Fitness Minutes: 18,889

My Goals:
Short term:
1. Restart tracking all that I eat.
2. Increase water to 10 glasses a day.
3. Start a fitness streak.


Long term:
1. Lose at least 100 lbs.
2. Be able to go for a walk comfortably
3. Be able to buy pants that fit.
5. Be able to tie my shoes, while breathing at the same time.
6. Be healthy to reduce or discontinue some of my meds.


My Program:

1. Track everything that enters my mouth.
2. Drink at least 10 glasses of water a day.
3. Do at least 20 minutes of some kind of exercise everyday. It can be in smaller chunks, but get it done.

I live in Virginia.
I have 6 beautiful adult kids (2 natural, 2 steps, and 2 wonderful in-laws) , 6 beautiful grandkids and 1 fabulous great-grandson.
I've been heavy my entire life and IT'S TIME TO END THAT AND GET HEALTHY.


Other Information:
Hobbies are knitting, crocheting, computer games (Pogo.com) , stitching Temari, TV/movies, and I love to read on my Kindle.
