I joined Spark in November 2007 at around 138-140lbs. My original goal was to get to 120 and look hot to make my ex jealous because we had just broken up. Little did I know that my weight loss journey would become about so much more than weight loss. I've become committed to a healthy lifestyle- eating healthy, exercising almost daily, drinking my water. I gave up high fructose corn syrup for Lent, and it has completely changed my relationship with food. Now when I look at nutrition labels, I think "do I want to put this in my body?" instead of "will this make me fat?". I've learned so much from this website-- that a healthy lifestyle is more than calories in and calories out, how to survive dining out, and about so many new healthy foods I would never have dreamed of touching before.

For a while I was unsure of what my goal weight was. I'm an incredibly slow loser, and I plateaued at 134, then 132, etc. I thought I wanted 130. Then this summer through a not so healthy combination of limited vegetarian options and dining on a budget while in a foreign country, I dropped past 130 to around 127. Since then I've regained my healthy habits and have been hanging around 125-126.

I've had my ups and downs, but every time I get back on track, I come back stronger and more prepared and this time is no different. My goal is to break 120 because I know I can. I LOVE how I look now. The change is amazing to me. But I'm fighting for the last 6 pounds to give myself some breathing room and to prove to myself that I can. So that's why now I've reset my goals and I'm fastbreaking all over again. Hopefully I'll be posting in my blog, too, to keep myself accountable. Stay tuned!
