Re; Sit ups--- I know some people have the tendency to lace their fingers behind their heads and pull on their heads / neck when sitting up. Maybe if you started with you hands in front or above the head, it would help alleviate the stress on the neck?

I found this on-line: Choose the position of your hands and arms according to your abdominal strength. The closer your hands are to your head, the more difficult sit-ups become. As a beginner, rest your hands at your sides. When you get strong, you can cross your arms across your chest. Eventually, cross your arms behind your head with each hand on the opposite shoulder if you're able.
Don't, however, interlace your fingers behind your head. When you do, you tend to pull on your head, which can stress the neck and cause injury. Pulling on your head also makes the abdominal muscles work less.

Also noticed a tutorial on YouTube. Hope this helps!

HELP... Can anyone tell me how to do pilates or sit up without straining my neck??

Also, there was an article or video on SP that was about "Is running harmful or helpful on your knees". I cannot seem to find it again.
    Suggestions please emoticon

Hope you will be able to join us here again. I know you have a new distraction living with you folks for the moment. "Peace, peace, but there is no peace" ( partial misquote of Jeremiah 6:14...with misapplication as well.)

I hear you have just a few more days of this semester left! emoticon You are getting so close to done! Sending you Hugs!
