My first time around with Spark People motivated me to go back to school and lose 30lbs. Spark People also encouraged me to have more confidence in myself & go back to college (finally graduated May 2014). I have been gone a long time from this site but realized when the scale reached 180 that things really have needed intervention. My mom died a year ago Dec 15th, and I held her hand through this process (dropping out of Graduate school) to help, care, advocate and love her until the end. I started up Graduate school this past June and just ended my second semester. I recently too just broke my dominant right arm (which is devastating to me as I love to write, draw, paint and play beginning classical guitar AND (as I said am in Graduate school). So life is offering up some REAL challenges. I hope to find my way again. My health seems very compromised and my energy low. I remember loving Spark People as it saved me from myself and gave me new tools to live with. I am here again to find myself.

    ChiRunning has been the perfect fit for me, training wise. I love the Tai Chi concept applied to running. I probably never would have given it another thought to use it, except I met Danny Dreyer at my first HM and his advice, his energy, his passion led me to look at his methodology again. I was looking for a different training plan, so I chose his method. After training for a month on the plan, reading his books, and using his phone app, I signed up for his clinic in Chicago to really learn the correct way. I am very good at the self-taught ways, but I knew there was so much more.

    I would not hesitate to do it all again. I will be posting a blog soon on my ChiRunning journey. You are not the first to ask.
