~~~ My Story ~~~
In 2001 I was my highest weight ever at about 230lbs. I was afraid to step on a scale or even think about my weight. I hated myself, was suicidal, and felt hopeless. After reading "the Purpose Driven Life" book (By Rick Warren) I did lots of nutritional research and became very determined to get healthy again. Between 2005 & 2006 I lost 72 lbs.
Then, in December 2006 I hurt my upper back badly. I could barely walk and I comforted myself with high fat, high cal, high carb foods. During this back-slide and depression I gained 50 lbs. In 2010 I realized it had been almost 4 year battling with my weight, gaining and losing here and there. I also was going to stand up at my brother's wedding in January 2011. I made the choice to start exercising very slowly, just walking and some swimming and light weights in July 2010.
By November 2010 I was ready to go to the gym once per week plus other physical activities like dancing, stretches & situps. I was 192lbs. at my brother's wedding but everyone said I looked fantastic (having lost 21 lbs). It's strange as I continue to become more healthyy because I am doing it for the right reasons now: #1 for God & #2 because I want to be healthy not just "hot". I love exercising and eating right again and there ain't no stoppin' me now!
Got "The P.I.N.K. Method" for my 29th birthday in 2012. I have never looked and felt so good. The scale hasn't moved much but I dropped from a size 12 to a size 8 (and a size 6 bikini!) in just two months. I'm going to continue beyond the 3 weeks suggested and go on to the "advance" workout. GO TEAM!
    Why worry about tomorrow
    and the rising of the sun?
    Don't anguish over past mistakes
    that can not be undone.
    Why waste life's precious moments
    on things that bruise the heart,
    when today is ours to fashion
    into a work of art?
    Today comes but once, my friend.
    It never will return,
    so use it wisely while you can.
    There is a lesson you may learn.
    Let history record the past,
    and tomorrow come what may.
    Be content to do your best
    with what you have today!
