Hi! My name is Gail and in July 2015, I began a journey of self discovery. At the time, I was 297 lbs and busting out of a size 20 because I refused to buy a larger size. For me, weight loss has been more of a mental challenge than a physical one. It's been about getting into the right mindset and having faith in myself and my ability to lose the weight.

I gained and lost so many times in my life, that I didn't think I can do it. However, 2 years into this journey, I can honestly say that it was totally worth the effort.

To date, I've lost 110 lbs. and I'm motivated to spread the message that If I can do it, then anyone can do it. Truly. That's why I created a personal blog - I share personal stories and tips/tricks that helped me achieve my weight loss success. If interested, I'd love to hear what you think. Check it out

If I can do this, I know you can do this. I was a closet eater, an emotional eater who literally had no self control or motivation. Find that spark within you, that one thing that will motivate you and hold onto it through your journey.

The journey itself is incredible. The transformation is beyond words. The results are breathtaking. You're worth it. Just. Do. It.

My Goals:
At this point in my journey, I'd like to lose another 20 lbs, and tone my 'areas of opportunity.' More importantly, I want to help other people get past their self sabotage and move towards achieving their goals. I am a therapist by training and although I don't practice, I want to use my counseling background and my personal experience through this process to really help other people. I also want to be a spin instructor one day!

My Program:
As I've said, I eat what I want...but I stay within my calorie range. I focus on eating low fat, low sugar, low carb foods. I lean towards yogurt, fruits, veggies and lean proteins but I do balance it out with healthy carbs like sweet potatoes. I'm not perfect, I will indulge from time to time and have a few French fries or a spoonful of ice cream, but I make sure to add those to my daily calorie goals.

A lot of friends and folks around my community have asked me about my weight loss journey so I decided to write a personal blog and I've enjoyed it very much.
