Hi All!
February, 2019

1. I will eat fish one meal per week.
2. I will not eat sweets and/or junk at work.
3. I will include treats in my calorie budget once, every two weeks, on a Saturday.

I live on the east coast and work full time in education. I have had a weight problem all my life. I lost seventy pounds with a commercial diet program in the nineties. I gained fifty pounds back. In the last two years I lost thirty pounds with the same commercial diet program. However, I am liking this plan less and less so I turned to Sparkpeople which I like very much. I would like to lose another sixty pounds and never find it again!!

January 14, 2018
I joined Weight Watchers online today. I have felt so stuck and I have gained weight. I am looking for something different. I will continue with SPARKPEOPLE (which I still love and has helped my motivation immensely). I will track food with Weight Watchers.

May, 2018
I left Weight Watchers and doing more on SPARK. Weight Watchers is not for me. I can not sustain it. It relies too much on intuitive eating. I am not ready fro intuitive eating. I need boundaries and limits that calorie counting provides.

I joined the 5% Challenge that begins on October 7, 2017, Saturday.
Physical Activity: I am currently recovering from a total knee replacement. On 9/13/2017 I had a knee manipulation to break up scar tissue in the knee. My focus has been on physical therapy to strengthen the knee and cardio as recommended by my doctor and physical therapist. I am starting to walk without a cane and I use the recumbent bike comfortably. I have used the treadmill for up to 20 minutes. My strength training has consisted of exercises for my knee. I would like to shift my focus to more strength training for other body parts. I exercise at home and I belong to a gym. At home I love indoor walking workouts. I do some strength training at home as well as at the gym. I like variety!

Thanks for reading and commenting on my waiting blog. I think we all KNOW when we're full and sometimes it is easier than others to pay attention to that signal. We do what we can and that's what counts.

Just saw your comment on my blog on getting older. Seems like the older I get the more I learn.

And if I can do it, emoticon

Thanks for reading and commenting on my different week blog. And we also think the house is beautiful and can't wait to make it our own.
Funny after so many years of thinking about my health it is kind of second nature. And that is good news!

Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. . . .then go and do that. Because . . . the world needs . . . people who have come alive. Howard Thurman
